RE INVEST 2024: Vice-President addresses at the Valedictory Ceremony of 4th Global RE INVEST 2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat

The Vice-President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, emphasized today that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fostered an atmosphere of hope and possibility in the country. Speaking at the Valedictory Ceremony of the 4th Global RE INVEST 2024 in Gandhinagar, Shri Dhankhar described Mr. Modi’s journey in three phases.

In 2014, Modi was like a rocket requiring great effort to lift off, as the country was in a despondent mood. His goal was to create an atmosphere of hope and possibility, which he achieved by 2019. By 2024, after making history as the first Prime Minister in six decades to serve three consecutive terms, Modi’s achievements have become astronomical, with the rocket now in space, free from gravitational forces.

Shri Dhankhar highlighted the pride in having a leader from Bharat who dominates global discourse after a long time. He noted that Modi’s voice is respected globally, addressing issues of humanity and global interest. The Vice-President expressed confidence in the country’s decade-long saga of success, which contrasts sharply with the stagnation seen three decades ago.

He also underscored Bharat’s role as a global harmony epicenter and Modi’s stature as a leader capable of resolving global conflicts. Dhankhar praised Modi’s foresight and commitment, noting that everything Modi has promised over the past decade has become a reality. Modi is seen as a global figure who can resolve the planet’s pressing issues.

Praising Gujarat, the Vice-President acknowledged its significant contributions to India’s growth and global standing. He recalled how Gujarat has historically led the way, from Mahatma Gandhi’s peace and non-violence discourse to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s unification efforts. Today, Narendra Modi, the man behind the Statue of Unity, continues to dominate global discourse.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership, the Vice-President highlighted the inclusion of the African Union as a member of the G20 alongside the European Union. He remarked, “The African Union was made part of the G20 along with the European Union. The visionary leadership of this country brought it onto the same platform.”

Shri Dhankhar also highlighted India’s key achievements during the G20 summit, stating that the motto, “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” embodies the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. This belief, deeply rooted in India’s ethos, transcends race, creed, and national boundaries. He emphasized that India has never believed in expansionism, advocating for diplomacy and dialogue over war. “War is no solution. Diplomacy and dialogue are the only solutions,” he added.

Shri Acharya Devvrat, Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Shri Bhupender Yadav, Hon’ble Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
